Tinkuy, 7 acts from the beginning, end, and beginning of time
𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐊𝐔𝐘 is a live performance and an exhibition by the artist Koyoltzintli funded by an Anonymous Was a Woman Environmental Art Award and Soon is Now with the support of The Jerome and Marlene Brody Foundation. Koyoltzintli's handmade sound objects, including replicas of pre-Columbian artifacts that have not been sounded in over a millennia, were played in a performance that unfolds across seven geological acts. This sonic meditation encourages us to reflect on humanity’s deep interference with the planet's balance, and to remember how intertwined we are with the earth and all living beings.
